Rare illustration for Air France, from 1949, for Afrique Occidental, the colonial union of eight French territories over 4,747,000 km and extending from Niger and Mauritania in the north to Togo, Benin, and the Cote d'Ivore in the south with Dakar serving as the administrative capital. The poster displays two West African hunters in a pirogue following a successful hunt and a Douglas DC-4 flying over a village scene.
