Fly by W.A.A.C. London and Nigeria, 1948

An extremely rare, original West African Airways Corporation (WAAC) vintage poster advertising flights between London and Nigeria.  The image displayed dynamically captures a four-engine propeller aircraft soaring over a lush and vibrant West African landscape as local people look skyward from the riverbank upon which they are standing, highlighting the era’s striking intersection of timeless traditions and modern aviation.  WAAC operated for only twelve years, between 1946 and 1958 before breaking into individual national carriers at the time of independence and so such posters are extremely rare.
