Original vintage travel poster produced by The Ghana Tourist to promote Ghana as it became a newly independent country and changed its name from The Gold Coast.  The central illustration beautifully depicts a figure in majestic traditional Ashanti royal regalia and elaborate ceremonial headwear, set against a rich, patterned golden-yellow backdrop.
